As I have navigated through my life, I’ve encountered many storms which have thrown me off course. They came in the form of stress, illness, loss and betrayal. Yet somehow after each major setback, I discovered a port in which to regroup, reassess, and reorganize. When I look back on those ports of shelter, I am filled with immense gratitude.
I have learned that being in gratitude is such a powerful way to manifest more of what you’re grateful for. Perhaps that’s health, wellbeing, love, supportive relationships, laughter, family, a home, food on the table, fresh water…the list is endless if we look deeply into what we have that could easily be taken for granted. Through my travels, I have become even more keenly aware of this; the blessings that abound in certain parts of the world are painfully lacking in other parts.
Feelings of gratitude bring me a deep sense of peace and trust that everything will work out. And I learned that because gratitude brings me deeply into feelings of wellbeing, it deserves to be a part of my daily ritual. In my meditation, I acknowledge 3 forms of gratitude in my life, which I have found to be powerful in creating a positive attitude. I also journal them, so I have a physical reminder.
The first form is Extension of Gratitude. Who in your life are you grateful for today?
The second form is Receipt of Gratitude. What are you grateful to have received today?
The third form is Moving Gratitude Forward. How can you be of Best and Highest service today and what are you committed to in order to do that?
Remember to celebrate your life in Gratitude daily and you will create a life worth celebrating.
