In a time when the only certainty is uncertainty, it’s important to look to inward for foundational support. It’s often too easy to allow ourselves to be bombarded by the news, which more often than not paints a grim picture of what’s happening in the world around us. In turn, this can create feelings of fear, distrust and disempowerment.
To clarify this, let’s first visit the concept of What We Focus on Expands.
If we focus on the prevalence of fear, we are allowing bad news to create an insecure state, which subsequently can dampen our energy, hope, and ultimately, our happiness.
It all too easy nowadays to live in this energy field.
Alternatively, if we choose to focus on Beauty, Blessings, and Gratitude, we can more easily rise above the mayhem and live in a higher energy field. This higher energy can be immensely profound and brings with it a sense of empowerment. Operating in this field is a place of more peace and joy.
Daily living during this immensely trying time in human history can actually produce some noteworthy “wins” that perhaps wouldn’t have been even close to being considered wins last year. Think about it.
And they don’t need to be big, lofty or mind-blowing. It just needs to feel like a win.
For example, nature grounds me and brings a sense of peace in the turbulence of these times. So, for me being able to get myself into nature in some way is a win! Not huge, but for me, Awesome.
Bringing our focus to the win by celebrating them is a way to focus on the positive which helps to expand the energy of positivity. This positive momentum can inspire us to move to our next “win” thus creating a path of success. We can do this in different ways. Here’s what I do to direct my focus on the positive -my wins.
I keep an “Awesome Jar.”
Each time I complete or do something that feels good, I write it on a piece of paper, date it, fold it, and put it into a jar. I was amazed at how quickly the jar started to fill up.
I begin my day with an intention to put a slip of paper into the jar. This helps me focus on the possibility of “Awesomeness” and subsequently guides me towards “Wins.” It can even help to create “Wins.”
Even if I think something is too small to note as “Awesome,” I oftentimes examine it further and acknowledge how it is moving me toward a goal or a happier state of mind. Suddenly, a “little thing” becomes an Awesome Win.
I invite you to create an “Awesome Jar” and put it somewhere which is easily seen. This will remind you that it’s waiting for your slips of paper! I’m using something I had at home. Be as creative as you wish! Decorating it can help to bring attention to its purpose in a fun way.
Now focus on your wins, no matter how “small” or “insignificant” you think they might be. Remember not to sell yourself short! You are awesome! Soon, your dedication, brilliance, tenacity, dedication and gifts will appear because your focus is there!
To Your Best and Highest,
